Making Fairview Friendly Block Party
with the Friendly Streets Initiative and Feline Rescue, Inc.

Saturday, July 19th 2014
3:00-7:00pm in the Feline Rescue parking lot

A free, kid-friendly celebration with kitty cat crafts & poetry, a bike rodeo and free tune-ups, snacks, live music, birdhouse artmaking, and more! Artist projects include a remount of the Irrigate Birdhouse Rainbow by Lisa Hassebrock and Tod Skallerup, and a Spark Your Imagination! performance from 5-7pm by Mira and Tom Kehoe‘s Xibaba. Local writer Susan Solomon will be in attendance for a book signing and reading from her cat-inspired poetry chapbook Genius. Free food provided by Lucy Coffee Cafe.

This project is a partnership with Hamline Midway Coalition and Union Park District Council to imagine a friendlier Fairview for everyone, whether you’re traveling on two feet, four paws, or two or more wheels.

Feline Rescue, Inc. is a Minnesota based no-kill companion cat rescue organization. Feline Rescue provides rescue and relief to the homeless and endangered cats in our community through programs that offer shelter, foster, social and medical rehabilitation, feral and stray management, spay/neuter subsidy, and community education.
