A Better Bridges Bash! kickoff party was held Saturday, April 25th from Noon-4pm on the Griggs pedestrian & bike bridge over I-94 in collaboration with the Lex-Ham Community Council and additional neighborhood partners. Community members came out to enjoy the sunshine and celebrate the new Griggs bikeway and walking bridge, while also envisioning big changes for the future of the Lexington and Hamline bridges over I-94. We enjoyed free food from Flamingo Restaurant and Pizza Luce, live music by local performance artists, art activities, pop up street soccer and basketball, and more. Update May 2st: The online version of our survey for the Hamline, Griggs and Lexington bridges over I-94 is now open! Respond by June 30th and be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to a local business. Click here.
