Frogtown Crew – Friendly Streets Initiative

From 2014-2015 the Friendly Streets Initiative worked with the Frogtown Crew on projects involving creative placemaking on Charles Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood. This project was a collaboration with the Frogtown Neighborhood Association, Saint Paul Smart Trips, and the Science Museum. FSI and the Frogtown Crew partnered on four block parties in 2014, including a Charles Avenue Bikeway community celebration on September 27, 2014.

Friendly Streets brought our Parklet demonstration as well as our Artist Organizer Robyn’s The Land of Parcheesopoly sidewalk chalk game to some of the Frogtown Crew’s Block Parties. We also collaborated for a larger community celebration of the Frogtown Neighborhood and the Charles Avenue Bike Boulevard on Saturday, September 27th.
